Q. Is Malachi House affiliated with any church?

A. No, we are independent of any church, Catholic Charities or government funding.


Q. Is there a religious requirement for residents?

A. Though Malachi House celebrates Catholic Mass on a regular basis; there is no religious obligation for residents, as clergies of all faiths are encouraged to minister to requesting residents.


Q. Is there a waiting list for residents?

A. If there is; it’s usually short. Please contact the admissions office.


Q. Where do residents typically come from?

A. Residents are generally from the northeast Ohio region.


Q. Is Malachi House a hospital?

A. Malachi House is not a hospital but a home that utilizes trained staff, volunteers and a hospice team to provide residents with spiritual, emotional and physical support in their final stage of life. 


Q. How can I find out if my loved one qualifies for admission?

A. Malachi House does serve the terminally ill without cost or regard to gender, race, religion or national origin, but there are some admission criteria that must be met.
