Malachi House Welcomes New Board Member

Cleveland, OH—June 22, 2009 – The Trustees for Malachi House, a home of love for persons who are terminally ill, elected Walter Votteler, an independent graphics consultant to the Board on May 14, 2009.

Mr. Votteler, a veteran in the graphics industry was the former owner of Ontario Printers. He sold the business and semi-retired in 2002. Other positions he has held include the vice president of sales for Superior Printing, chief executive officer for Austin Printing, and vice president of merchandising for Harris-Seybold. Votteler now consults for Master Printing, which was founded in 1928 and specializes in art preparation, printing, finishing and other services. 

Votteler, the former Christ Child Person of the Year, stated, “I have had tremendous respect over the years for the work Malachi House does for so many in need. I consider it an honor and privilege to serve on the Board.”

“We are grateful to add Mr. Votteler to our Board,” said Mary Kay Stahley, executive director. He has been very active in the local philanthropic community through his work with the Cleveland Sight Center, the Boy Scouts and the Kidney Foundation of Ohio. He brings a wealth of experience and depth of dedication to the table.”

About Malachi House
Malachi House, created out of a Christian sense of ministry, serves persons who are terminally ill, without cost or regard to gender, race, religion or national origin. The home ministers to individuals who need an available caregiver, who have limited or no financial resources and are in need of special home care in the final stages of life. A trained staff and volunteers provide spiritual, emotional and physical support with the assistance of a hospice team.
