Parma Eagles Donates
Generous Gift to Malachi House
Cleveland, OH – June 29, 2009 – The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 4204 donated a gift of $2,311.50 to Malachi House. The generous gift was raised by the Eagles through a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit held on Saturday, June 20. The fundraiser proceeds, which benefitted both Malachi House and the Upside of Downs, were generated through a fabulous dinner, 50/50 drawings, a Chinese raffle and more. The highlight of the evening was the engaging performance of Cleveland Police Pipes and Drums.
Malachi House, a home of love for persons who are terminally ill, was honored to be one of the recipients of the evening. “We are blessed to be selected by the Eagles as one of their charities,” said Mary Kay Stahley, executive director of Malachi House. “Our home does not receive any governmental funding or insurance support, which means we are solely dependent upon the kindness and generosity of so many, like the Parma Eagles, to provide quality care of our residents.”
Michael Coleman, president of the Parma Eagles, commented, “We are thrilled to be able to help Malachi House for the second time this year because of the wonderful work they do for so many in need. Their purpose of bettering human life by providing dignity, peace and hope to those living in their final days and lacking financial means is reflective of our philanthropic mission.”
The Fraternal Order of Eagles, an international non-profit organization, unites fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills, and by promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope.
