Cotter Presents Grant to Malachi House

Cleveland, OH – August 7, 2009 – Daniel B. Cotter, of Cotter Advisory Group LLC in Westlake, presented a $5,000 grant from the MDRT Foundation to Malachi House. The award occurred during a benefit event for Malachi House and preceded a theatrical performance of the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning play, The Shadow Box, performed by CSU Summer Stages at the Factory Theatre.

“As an 18-year member of MDRT and an Honorary Life Trustee of Malachi House, I am honored to present this prestigious award to Malachi House so that they may continue to care for our most needy brothers and sisters,” said Cotter. Continuing, Cotter, who nominated and endorsed Malachi House’s grant application added, “The MDRT Foundation was created in 1959 to provide our members with an avenue to give back to their communities. The MDRT Foundation is committed to changing lives worldwide and acknowledges the crucial mission of Malachi House in our community.”

“The MDRT Foundation grant will assist Malachi House with their mission of providing compassionate care to those who would otherwise spend their final days unattended and in poverty,” said Mary Kay Stahley, Executive Director. “Our home receives no government funding, no insurance payments, or Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement. We are purely funded by the kind generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations like MDRT.”

The MDRT Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Million Dollar Round Table, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®. MDRT is an international, independent association of more than 39,000, or less than 1 percent, of the world’s best life insurances and financial services professionals from 476 companies and 76 nations and territories.
