2008 Malachi House Open Golf Tournament
On Friday, June 13, 2008 the 13th Annual Malachi House Open was held at Dorlon Golf Club in Columbia Station, which marked the 13th consecutive sell-out with a massive field of 172 golfers.
Shortly after lunch, a large contingent smacked their first tee shots. Though there were threatening skies looming in the area, the golfers were able to finish their rounds only minutes before the heavens let loose.
Unfortunately, no one managed to hit the hole-in-one to win the 2008 Nissan Altima, which was donated by Nissan of North Olmsted. Nonetheless, the participants walked away with hundreds of great raffle prizes donated from local Cleveland vendors and sponsors.
This year’s co-champions included the teams of Eddy Glynn, Mike Tur, Jack Specker, Stan Dobrowski, Tony Shaker (Trustee), Joe Granzier (Trustee), Kevin Kelly and Dan Nageotte with a combined team score of 125 (-19).
